Manny Machado has had the hot hand in San Diego this season. He has hit .359 with seven home runs and 23 RBIs. He leads the team in all of those categories except for RBIs, where he trails Eric Hosmer by one.

The Phillies are the No. 2 team in their division, but the division isn’t half as good. At No. 2, they have a 17-18 record, which would be last in San Diego’s division.

They have been all but impressive at home with a 9-9 record at Citizen’s Bank Park.

Despite being under .500, they rank No. 2 in batting average, hitting .256 as a team this year and No. 5 in runs batting in 172 runs.

Philadelphia was so close to sweeping the Dodgers in a four-game series last week, but it lost the last game 5-4 after giving up two runs, including a walk-off double from Gavin Lux in the loss.
