The Mets recently had their longest winning streak of the season, taking six games in a row last week between matchups with the Kansas City Royals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Los Angeles Dodgers. However, they couldn’t continue the winning streak on Sunday when they lost 10-0 in their series finale against the Dodgers.
For the Giants, this begins the second series of a 10-game homestand. They hosted the Arizona Diamondbacks in a National League West matchup over the weekend and split the four-game set. That included wins of 5-0 and 7-3.
Lefty Jose Quintana will start this game for the Mets. He’ll be opposed by righty Keaton Winn from the Giants.
