Seattle picked up a 4-3 win on Friday and a 5-3 win yesterday. Julio Rodríguez got things started for the Mariners in the top of the first inning, crushing a solo home run. Shohei Ohtani answered for the Angels in the bottom of the first with a home run of his own to tie things up.

In the bottom of the fourth, Kurt Suzuki smashed a home run to give the Angels a 2-1 lead. In the top of the sixth, Jesse Winker had an RBI to tie the game at two. Kevin Padlo hit a two-run single shortly after to give the Mariners a 4-2 lead.

In the bottom of the sixth, David MacKinnon brought a runner home with his RBI single and brought his team closer to tying the game back up. Unfortunately, that was the final run for the Angels. Dylan Moore hit a sac fly in the top of the seventh to extend the lead back to two and that’s where the game would stay.

Today, the Mariners will look to complete the sweep before heading back home for a series with the Orioles.
