How to Watch the College World Series: Notre Dame vs. Texas in College Baseball: Live Stream, TV Channel, Start Time

Notre Dame and Texas will play the second game of the 2022 College World Series in primetime in Omaha.

Notre Dame has been on an absolute terror after dropping to North Carolina, the eventual ACC tournament champions back at the end of May. They’ve only lost once and that was to the best team in the nation in Tennessee. The Fighting Irish beat the Volunteers two out of three times in the Knoxville Super Regional to advance to the College World Series. That journey starts tonight against Texas.

The Longhorns beat East Carolina who had one of the longest winning streaks in the NCAA this year. Texas bounced back from a tough loss in the Super Regional opener to the Pirates. They gave up 13 and it looked like a long road forward to win two in a row. But that is exactly what they did winning 9-8 in a nail-bitter the very next game. They went for the knockout punch in the finale and absolutely delivered winning in a rout 11-1. Expect a lot of fireworks from the first night in Omaha tonight.

The probable starting pitchers for tonight’s matchup are lefty Pete Hansen for Texas who is 11-2 with a 3.40 ERA. We get another lefty going for the Irish in John Michael Bertrand who is 9-3 with 2.67 ERA. This is the Longhorns’ second consecutive College World Series and their 38th CWS appearance which is an NCAA record. These two last met in 1995 and last met in the CWS in 1957. This matchup is already a special occasion.

Regional restrictions may apply.
