The Clippers won the first game in the series with a 109-97 victory on Sunday. James Harden led the Clippers in the win with 28 points on 8-of-17 shooting and a team-high eight assists. Paul George finished with 22 points and six rebounds, while Ivan Zubac had the team’s only double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds in 33 minutes. Terrance Mann had 13 points and nine rebounds with two assists. The team was without Kawhi Leonard to open the series, so Amir Coffey entered the starting lineup and had just six points. Russell Westbrook led the three players who came off the bench for Los Angeles. He had 13 points with four rebounds and four assists. The other two combined for just seven points.

He also had 13 rebounds and six assists in the loss. His counterpart, Kyrie Irving, had 31 points with seven rebounds and four assists.

P.J. Washington had 11 points as the only other player with double-digit points. He also had seven rebounds. Unlike Los Angeles, Dallas used nine players off the bench, led by Tim Hardaway Jr., who had six points and three rebounds. The bench had 19 points in total. The other two starters, Derrick Jones Jr. and Daniel Gafford, had just three points combined.
