Baltimore is 3-2 on its homestand and hits the road for six games after the Wednesday matinee. Minnesota, 2-4 on its road trip, heads home for seven games after the game on Wednesday. Right-hander Tyler Wells, slated to make Wednesday’s start for the Orioles, landed on the 15-day injured list with inflammation in his right elbow. He last pitched Friday, with the roster move retroactive to Saturday.

Baltimore erupted for seven runs in the second and third innings en route to an 11-3 win on Tuesday night. Gunnar Henderson belted a two-run homer in the second, Jordan Westburg added a two-run shot in the third and Ryan O’Hearn had a two-run job in the eighth. Henderson finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs.
Minnesota got on the board in the fourth on Byron Buxton’s RBI triple, but took its third straight loss. Right-hander Chris Paddack was rocked for nine runs on 12 hits in 5.1 innings.
The Twins give the ball to right-hander Pablo LĆ³pez (1-2), who makes his fourth start of the season. LĆ³pez owns a 4.86 ERA and 1.200 WHIP in 16.2 innings.
