Auburn battles UCF on Friday afternoon in the first round of their NCAA Softball Regional
Auburn plays UCF on Friday afternoon in the first game of the Tallahassee Regional. The Tigers stumbled to end the regular season as they lost three of their last five games. They then lost their first game in the SEC Tournament to Georgia in 14 innings. It was a tough loss to the Bulldogs as they scored three runs in the top of the 14th, but gave up four in the bottom of the inning to lose. They are now looking to put that behind them as they try and get a regional win. They will have to get by a Knights team first before hopefully getting a shot at the region host Florida State.

The Knights, though, are looking to upset the Tigers and get that shot. The Knights also lost in the first game of their conference tournament as they fell to Baylor 3-2.
The loss dropped them to 30-23 on the season, but they still did enough to get an at-large bid to the regionals.
The Knights finished just 12-15 in their first season in the Big 12. It was an up-and-down season for the Knights, but they are hoping to turn things around and get a big regional win on Friday.
