Lottie Woad of England takes a 2-shot lead into Saturday’s final round of the 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur
Lottie Woad produced one of just four sub-par scorecards in Friday’s second round at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, Georgia, and after a one-under-par 71 takes a two-shot lead into the final round of the 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur on Saturday. Gianna Clemente of the U.S. is at three-under after shooting a 71 on Friday and shares second place with American Maisie Filler. There will be a new champion in 2024 after last year’s winner, Rose Zhang, joined the LPGA Tour in June. The first two rounds are played at Champions Retreat before the top 30 players from the first two days play the final round at the historic Augusta National.

Augusta National debuted the tournament in 2019. The course refused to admit women as members until 2012. Jennifer Kupcho won the inaugural event and Japan’s Tsubasa Kajitani took the title in 2021 after the 2020 event was canceled by the COVID-19 pandemic. Anna Davis, the 2022 champion, missed the cut after a second-round 78.
Amanda Sambach enters the final round three shots off the pace at two-under-par, with a group of eight golfers at one-under.
That group includes Malaysia’s Mirabel Ting, Ingrid Lindblad and Louise Rydqvist of Sweden, Scotland’s Hannah Darling, Eila Galitsky of Thailand and Americans Hailey Borga, Jasmine Koo and Bailey Shoemaker.
