The Knicks host the 76ers in Game 1 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs on Saturday evening
The New York Knicks welcome the Philadelphia 76ers to town on Friday night in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series. The Knicks finished the regular season 50-32 and earned the second seed in the Eastern Conference. It was the first time they had won 50 games since 2013, which is also the last time they were the second seed in the playoffs. The Knicks have been led all season long by Jalen Brunson who is averaging a team-best 28.7 points per game. Brunson has been awesome for the Knicks this season and will be the key to New York getting by the 76ers.

The 76ers snuck into the playoffs as they had to beat the Miami Heat on Tuesday in a play-in game.
The 76ers had to play 43 games without star center Joel Embid who missed time with a leg injury.
Embid has been great when he has been on the court as he is averaging 34.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.
Tyrese Maxey picked up the slack with Embid out. Maxey averaged 25.9 points and 6.2 assists per game this season.
The two teams met four times this season with the Knicks winning three times. They haven’t played in over a month, though, and with Embid back it changes things.
