Alabama and Auburn will conclude regular season play on Saturday in their SEC series finale.
On Saturday afternoon, No. 16 Alabama take on in-state rival Auburn in the teams’ SEC series finale at Jane B. Moore Field to close out regular season play ahead of the conference tournament next week. The Tigers come into Saturday’s game with an overall record of 26-18-1 and a conference record of 8-15. The team picked up a narrow 4-3 victory over the Crimson Tide in the opening game, but dropped game two in a tough 2-0 defeat that went 11 innings on Friday night. Icess Tresvik and Axe Milanowski each recorded two hits for the Tigers, but the team was unable to bring those runs home. Maddie Penta took the loss in the circle for Auburn with 4.2 innings of work in which she gave up two earned runs and struck out four batters.

With Friday night’s win, the Crimson Tide improved to 33-15 overall on the season and 10-13 in conference play. Kenleigh Cahalan led at the plate for Alabama, going 3-for-4 while bringing in both runs in the game with a two-run single through the right side in the 11th inning. Kayla Beaver continues to impress in the circle as she finished the game with seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched while only giving up two hits.
