Elly De la Cruz scored the first run of the game after stealing third and creating a throwing error to get the scoring started. He closed out the game with a three-run home run in the eighth inning to bookend the game with his feet tapping home plate in the dominant win.

The only run for Los Angeles in the loss came from a Jo Adell single that drove in Luis Rengifo in the fifth inning. Los Angeles finished the game with seven hits and eight total runners reaching base, but could not capitalize outside of the one time in the fifth inning on the Adell single.

On the mound today for Cincinnati is right-hander Graham Ashcraft (2-1), making his fourth start of the season. In his first three starts, Graham has 19 strikeouts in 17.1 innings pitched with a 4.15 ERA. He faces off with Los Angeles left-hander Patrick Sandoval (1-2) who is looking to even up his record in his fifth start of the season.
