Stanford goes for its third straight win on Friday night when it hosts Arizona State
Stanford welcomes Arizona State to town in the first game of a three-game set. The Cardinal come into Friday on a two-game winning streak and have won 10 of their last 12 games. They started off conference play with sweeps of both Cal and Utah and then took two of three from Arizona last weekend. They followed that up with a 3-1 win over Santa Clara on Tuesday. The Cardinal now sit at 28-6 overall and 8-1 in the Pac-12. They are at the top of the conference standings and are one game up on UCLA in the loss column.

The Sun Devils are on the other end of the standings as they currently sit in last place in the Pac-12 at 2-7.
They come into Saturday fresh off a 3-2 nine-inning win over San Diego in the second game of a doubleheader on Wednesday. The win gave them a split of the twin bill and helped them snap a four-game losing streak
Last weekend they were swept by Oregon in a conference series. They have now lost all three of their Pac-12 series after also losing two of three to both Washinton and Oregon State.
