The San Francisco Giants host the Oakland A’s in their own house on Tuesday night for their last spring training game of the season.
The battle for the Bay will be the last spring training game for the Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants. Both teams are back from the Cactus League in Arizona as these two rivals will face off at Oracle Park in San Francisco. The regular season starts on Thursday, March 28 for both clubs. The Giants look to finish out spring training on a high note to complement the fantastic run they’ve been on the last couple of weeks. San Francisco has won nine of its last 11 games heading into this finale. They are coming off a 4-1 win against the A’s on Monday in the first matchup in the Oakland Coliseum. It was catcher Tom Murphy’s night giving the Giants all the runs they would need. Murphy went 2-2 with two homers in the second and fourth inning. Pitcher Jordan Hicks had a great start as well not giving up any hits in five innings with 10 strikeouts.
