The Tigers, though, are looking to salvage a win and avoid that sweep. They have been struggling in the loaded SEC as they now sit at just 1-7 in conference play.
They were swept by Vanderbilt in their first conference series and then narrowly avoided a sweep to No. 1 Arkansas last weekend. They lost the first two games of the series but were able to avoid the sweep with an 8-6 win in the finale.
They won their second straight game on Tuesday when they beat Jacksonville State 13-3, but they weren’t able to keep up the momentum in the first two games against the Aggies.
