Indiana goes for another upset on Friday afternoon when it takes on Nebraska in the Big Ten Softball Semifinals
Eighth-seeded Indiana takes on fourth-seeded Nebraska in the first semifinal of the Big Ten Softball Tournament on Friday afternoon. The Hoosiers are coming off a huge upset of regular season champion Northwestern on Thursday and will be looking to do it again on Friday to make the finals. The Hoosiers had to play in the first round on Wednesday and they eliminated rival Purdue. Thursday they had a much tougher test in the Wildcats, but they scored four straight runs over the fourth through sixth innings to get the upset win. They had lost two of three to the Wildcats during the regular season but got the best of them on Thursday to move on to the semifinals. They now get a Cornhuskers team that they did not play during the regular season.

The Cornhuskers had a bye through the first round and had little trouble with Minnesota in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
They had just played the Golden Gophers in the last series of the year and had won two of three. They got another win on Thursday as they erased an early 1-0 deficit to score the next seven runs.
They would give up a run in the top of the fifth, but four runs in the bottom of the inning would end it as they came away with an 11-2 win.
