Padres aim to end losing skid as they host the streaking Blue Jays
Winners of five of their last six games, the Toronto Blue Jays continue their three-game interleague weekend series against the San Diego Padres tonight as right-hander Jose Berrios (3-0, 1.05 ERA) aims to become the first four-game winning in MLB this season. The Padres have won three consecutive series taking two of three games from the Chicago Cubs, NL West Division rival Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Milwaukee Brewers already this month but have now lost two games in a row putting them at an even .500 on the season after last night’s 5-1 home loss to Toronto dropping them to 5-7 at home this season.
