The Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies square off harkening back to the 1993 World Series when they start a four-game series on Tuesday.
The Philadelphia Phillies have been one of the hottest teams in baseball to start the second month of the season. The Phillies are going for their seventh win in a row after sweeping the San Francisco Giants in four-games. The Phillies are coming off a tight 6-1 win on Monday in the finale. Zack Wheeler pitched great limiting the Giants to four hits in seven innings with 11 strikeouts. The Blue Jays are going in the opposite direction losing four of their last five games. Toronto is coming off a series loss against the Washington Nationals losing 11-8 in the series finale rubber match. Things were looking good early with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hitting a grand slam as part of a five-run inning. Things broke down in the late innings for Toronto though headlined by an Eddie Rosario two-run shot that helped put the game away for the Nats. Toronto will try to bounce back tonight by starting Jose Berrios who is 4-2 with a 1.44 ERA.
