The championship game of the 2024 Chipotle Nationals girls high school basketball tournament is an all-Florida affair with third-seeded IMG Academy taking on fourth-seeded Montverde Academy. This is the third straight appearance in the championship game for the Eagles, who have won this tournament in back-to-back seasons. This finals matchup between the Eagles and Ascenders is not only a showdown between the top two teams in Florida, but two top nine ranked teams in the MaxPreps National Rankings. The teams are loaded with talent from third-ranked Jaloni Cambridge on the Eagles and 25th-ranked Tajianna Avant-Roberts on the Ascenders, with three more Top 100 ranked recruits on the espnW Top 100 list.

Cambridge is the top-ranked point guard in the country and is set to play for Ohio State next season, replacing Jacey Sheldon who graduated. Avant-Roberts is the 15th-ranked overall guard in the class and will have the chance to make a statement before moving on to play for Louisville.
The other players to watch today in the Top 100 are 31st-ranked recruit Leah Harmon (Miami) 57th ranked recruit Tayla Thomas (Northwestern) on the Ascenders as well as the Eagles 34th ranked recruit Eris Lester (Alabama). All five of those high-level recruits will look to end their high school season on a high today in the Chipotle Nationals.
In the semifinals the Ascenders advanced with a win over second-seeded Grayson (65-56) while the Eagles survived a thriller (79-78) over top-seeded Long Island Lutheran to make it to the finals today.
