James Paxton and the Los Angeles Dodgers will take the mound against Bailey Ober and the Minnesota Twins tonight.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will head on the road from Chicago to Minnesota in the first game of a three-game series against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota, tonight. The Dodgers come into this game with an 8-4 record. However, they also lost two of three games in their last series on the road to the Chicago Cubs. The only game they won was sandwiched by losses with a total run differential of 18-12. Mookie Betts and former Seattle Mariner Teoscar Hernandez lead the offensive attack for Los Angeles. Betts has five home runs and 11 RBIs while Hernandez has four home runs and 14 RBIs. They are both batting over .280 as well. The Twins are just 3-4 heading into this series at home after being at home in their last series as well. They lost two straight games against the Cleveland Guardians with the third game being postponed due to weather. There has been little offensive production from this team, but Byron Buxton leads the way batting .231 with four RBIs.

James Paxton will get the start for the favored Los Angeles here in this starting game. The left-hander from the Boston Red Sox has already picked up a win in his first start against the San Francisco Giants. He ended up going 5.0 scoreless innings in that game giving up four hits with five strikeouts and five walks on 97 pitches.

On the other side, Minnesota will elect to start Bailey Ober in his second appearance of the season. The right-hander lost his first game of the year against the Kansas City Royals on the road after going just 1.1 innings giving up eight earned runs on nine hits with one strikeout and 53 pitches. He left with a very forgettable 54.00 ERA and will look to bounce back from that nightmare tonight.
