Play at the European Team Championships opens on Wednesday in Zurich, Switzerland, with a women’s squash match between France and Spain taking center stage on the Glass Court in a Division 1 Pool A matchup. France placed fourth at last year’s European championships in Helsinki, Finland, losing to Wales in the third-place match. France and Spain are joined by England and Czechia in Pool A. France broke through to defeat the English in 2019 before the event went on a two-year hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic.
