Georgia and Kentucky will play the tie-breaking game of their series on Sunday afternoon.
SEC play will continue on Sunday afternoon as Kentucky hosts No. 7 Georgia in Lexington to break the series tie. The Wildcats picked up a surprising win in the first game of the series on Friday with a 7-5 victory before falling yesterday in a 6-4 defeat. The team is now 25-15 overall and 4-10 in conference play for a spot in 12th place in the SEC standings. Rylea Smith and Grace Lorsung each recorded two hits in Saturday’s loss. Lorsung led the scoring with two runs and two RBI, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a strong performance by the Georgia offense. Sydney Langdon dropped to 4-4 on the season in the circle after pitching 1.1 innings and giving up three earned runs.
