The Padres look to beat the Giants for second straight day when they play on Friday night
The San Diego Padres look to open the season with a second straight win on Friday night when they host the San Francisco Giants. The Padres got a win in the opener when they erased a one-run deficit in the seventh inning to get a 6-4 win. The Padres trailed 3-2 in the seventh, but they scored four runs in the bottom of the inning to take control of the game. Jake Cronenworth had the big as he had a two-run double to cap their four-run seventh. Friday night the Padres will turn to Joe Musgrove as they look to clinch at least a series split. Musgrove struggled in his first start of the season as he gave up five runs in just two and two-thirds innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
