On Saturday afternoon, 11th-seeded Green Bay will take on sixth-seeded Tennessee in the first round of the NCAA tournament as the teams meet in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Phoenix made it into the Big Dance with a Horizon League tournament title after beating top-seeded Cleveland State 64-40 in the final to bring their overall record to 27-6. Natalie McNeal was the only player in double figures for Green Bay, but with a team-leading 32-point performance, it was enough to get the job done. McNeal also led on the boards alongside Jasmine Kondrakiewicz as they both pulled down eight rebounds in the win. While the team has its work cut out against Tennessee, an upset isn’t out of the question.

The Vols made it to the SEC semifinals and almost pulled off the upset against top-seeded South Carolina, but lost 74-73 on a buzzer-beater heard around the world. Against the Gamecocks, Rickea Jackson led the team in scoring with 22 points, but Jewel Spear was right behind her with 21 points. Jackson just missed a double-double with a team-leading nine rebounds, as well.
