How to Watch Guardians at White Sox: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel

The Chicago White Sox look to make it four in a row against the Cleveland Guardians today.

Over the last seven games, the Chicago White Sox (11-28) have played their best baseball in two seasons. They have won five of the last seven games and have the opportunity to go up 3-0 over the Cleveland Guardians (24-15) in this three-game series. This has been a huge series for Chicago sitting at the bottom of the same division as Cleveland, the top team in the American League Central. In the first two games of this series Chicago has played some of the most complete baseball of the season holding Cleveland to five combined runs and 17 hits while putting up nine runs. Just enough to take care of business in the first two games of this series.

During this stretch of play for Chicago the team has scored 27 runs and held its opponents to 25 total runs. They are starting to build a rhythm, especially on the mound and on the defensive end, allowing an average of just 2.4 runs per game to opponents in five wins during this stretch.

On the mound today for Chicago to try and keep the positive play rolling and go up 3-0 in this series is veteran right-hander Mike Clevinger (0-1, 13.50 ERA) in just his second start of the season. In his first start, Clevinger only pitched 2.0 total innings giving up three runs on six hits. He will need to find more control today after walking four and finishing with zero strikeouts in his first start.

Cleveland counters with young right-hander Triston McKenzie (2-2, 3.97 ERA) in his eighth start of the season. Through his first seven starts McKenzie has 30 strikeouts in 34.0 innings pitched and is looking for his first decision in three starts.
