The win extended their 12-match unbeaten streak and they haven’t lost since a 2-0 defeat to Italy back in September of 2022. They have won eight matches and played to five ties since that match. The streak helped them finish in first place in Group C of the UEFA European Qualifiers. They finished group play with 18 points, four more than second-place Serbia. They have been playing great soccer and are looking to keep it going against Kosovo on Tuesday afternoon.

Kosovo is also coming into Tuesday fresh off a win as they beat Armenia 1-0 on Friday in a friendly.

The win snapped a two-match winless streak in which they had lost to Belarus 1-0 and tied Switzerland 1-1.

It was the second time during Euro Qualifying that they lost to Belarus and played to a draw with the Swiss team.

Those results pushed Kosovo to fifth place in Group I. They finished one point back of Belarus and four back of Israel. They were unable to qualify and are now just looking to pick up a friendly win over a streaking Hungary team.
