The Mare Nostrum is: “a series of swimming meets with three meets around the Mediterranean in June annually. Until 2005 a meet in Rome was also included in the series.” The Saturday schedule reads that the event will start with Heats, followed by B Finals, then the round of 16 for the speed tournament portion of the event, the A Finals and then wrap with the quarterfinals of the speed tournament.
