How to Watch Mets at Braves: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel

The New York Mets look to win three in a row and go up 2-0 on Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves in this four-game series.

The Atlanta Braves have looked every bit of the part of title contender while the New York Mets look like they haven’t come far from their disappointing 2023 season. But New York s 3-1 on the road so far and that fortune kept up with them in the opener of this four-game series against their division rival on Monday. The Mets won 8-7 to start this series off on a great note. DJ Stewart played the hero getting the go-ahead two-run home run in the eighth inning. Brandon Nimmo did a ton of heavy lifting to lift the Mets to victory with two homers. If that wasn’t enough, Nimmo had four hits and drove in five runs. This was all after the Braves got up early with a four spot in the third inning. The Mets will now go for three wins in a row after winning their previous series against Cincinnati. After losing the first five games of the season, New York has now won four of its last five games. The game was a homage to the late great Hank Aaron who broke Babe Ruth’s home run record 50 years ago on April 8, 1974.

Game Date: April 9, 2024

The loss ended a three-game winning streak for Atlanta after it swept the Arizona Diamondbacks at home. The good news for the Braves is that they’re playing at home and have the -190 advantage to tie this series up Tuesday night. Atlanta will try to get back on track by starting righty Reynaldo Lopez. He only gave up one run and four hits in six innings in his first start of the season against the Chicago White Sox but the Braves still lost 3-2. Reynaldo made it to the rotation in spring training serving as Atlanta’s fifth starter in this great staff. Adrian Houser will go for the Mets and he also pitched well in his season debut going five and only giving up three hits and one run in a game which New York still lost to Detroit.
