He has a team-high 17 home runs and 55 RBIs as well as 43 runs on 66 hits in 191 at-bats. Gage Ziehl has been the best Miami pitcher despite a 2-3 record. He has started 12 games with a 3.95 ERA and 73 strikeouts. He has allowed just 32 earned runs over 73 innings pitched.

The Hokies are 31-15 overall this season and just over .500 against ACC opponents at 13-11 heading into this weekend. They took down North Carolina A&T early last week before sweeping Ohio last weekend in three straight games with a run differential of 39-5. They lost earlier this week against Liberty 13-8 though snapping that winning streak.

Carson DeMartini, Chris Cannizzaro, and Eddie Micheletti Jr have all had much success at the plate this season. DeMartini leads the group in home runs and RBIs with 18 homers and 50 RBIs. Cannizzaro is hitting the best with a .357 average, and Micheletti Jr has the best on-base percentage at .480 this season.
