13 players are within 2 shots of the lead entering the 2nd day of play at the LIV Golf Invitational Series event at Trump National Doral Miami
Peter Uihlein, Talor Gooch and Sergio Garcia carded five-under-par 67s to open the LIV Golf Invitational Series Miami event at Trump National Doral Miami on Friday. The trio shares the lead headed into Day 2 on Saturday. Garcia posted the lone bogey-free round of the day, hitting 16 of 18 greens in regulation on the Blue Monster Course. Dean Burmester, Matthew Wolff, Bubba Watson and Kieran Vincent share fourth place at four-under. Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, Brendan Steele, Patrick Reed, Mito Pereira and Caleb Surrett all shot three-under 69s and are tied for eighth entering Saturday’s round at Doral.

Uihlein, Wolff and Watson combined for a 13-under-par mark to put the RangeGoats GC five shots ahead of the field in the team competition. Legion XIII, captained by Rahm, checked in at eight-under-par with the scores of Rahm, Surratt and Tyrrell Hatton. Reed, Captain Dustin Johnson and Harold Varner III have 4Aces GC six shots back at seven-under.
Joaquin Niemann, who won at Mayakoba, Mexico, and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, earlier this season carded a one-under-par 71 on Friday and is tied for 20th. Johnson won in Las Vegas and shot a 70 on Friday. The most recent LIV Golf winner was Abraham Ancer in Hong Kong; he checked in with a 73.
Crushers GC won the last two team titles in Jeddah and Hong Kong but mustered just a two-under-par total on Friday. Bryson DeChambeau and Paul Casey shot 71s and Anirban Lahiri had a 72.
