Michigan goes for its third straight Big Ten win on Friday night when it hosts Minnesota
Michigan welcomes Minnesota to town on Friday night for the first game of a three-game series. The Wolverines come into the series looking to win a third straight Big Ten game. They beat Iowa twice in a doubleheader last Saturday to win their third straight conference series. They then went 1-1 during the week as they gave up five runs in the ninth to lose to Western Michigan on Tuesday and then brat Wisconsin Milwaukee 3-1 on Wednesday. They now sit 15-19 overall but are 6-3 in the Big Ten. They have already won two of three from Penn State, Maryland and the Hawkeyes and will be looking to do the same against the Golden Gophers this weekend.

The Golden Gophers come into Friday on a two-game winning streak and looking to pick up a big road win.
The Golden Gophers dropped two of three to Illinois last weekend. They lost the first two games, but avoided a sweep by getting an 8-3 win in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
They then hosted North Dakota State on Tuesday and got an 11-3 win to push their record to 13-14 overall.
They are just 2-4 in the Big Ten as they also lost two of three to Iowa two weeks ago. They come to Michigan looking to pick up their first conference series win of the season.
