The Tar Heels come into Saturday’s game with an overall record of 7-4 and a conference record of 3-2. Last weekend, UNC played No. 3 Northwestern and suffered a 16-10 loss. Kiley Mottice, Ashley Humphrey, Reilly Casey and Darcy Felter each scored twice against the Wildcats while Caroline Godine and Alyssa Long scored one goal apiece. Alecia Nicholas got the start in net for the Tar Heels and conceded seven goals while making two saves before Stella Harrison came in and gave up nine goals and made four saves.

The team’s most recent game was played against Duke and resulted in a big 18-3 victory. Rachel Clark led the Boston College offense with four goals in the win while Belle Smith, Kayla Martello and Emma LoPinto each finished with hat tricks. LoPinto added two assists to turn in a five-point performance. Shea Dolce played the full game in net to anchor the Eagles’ defense and made 11 saves in the win.
Saturday will be the 30th meeting between the Tar Heels and Eagles. Carolina leads the all-time series at 22-7 and has won six of the last 10 meetings.
