On Sunday afternoon, a rematch of the 2023 national championship will take place when No. 1 Notre Dame travels to take on No. 3 Duke in an ACC matchup. The Blue Devils come into Sunday’s game with an overall record of 10-2 so far and a conference record of 0-1 for a spot in fourth place in the ACC standings. The team’s last game was played against Boston University and resulted in a narrow 11-10 victory to capture the Blue Devils’ second win in a row. In the win, three Blue Devils recorded hat tracks as Benn Johnston, Brennan O’Neill and Dyson Williams led the offensive play. Max Sloat and Jake Naso each added one goal to the scoreboard. Patrick Jameison manned the net and recorded 11 saves to earn the win.

The Fighting Irish come into Sunday’s game with a record of 6-1 overall and a conference record of 1-0 so far. The team opened up ACC play with a 14-12 win over Syracuse. Notre Dame held off a fourth-quarter surge by Syracuse to hold onto the lead and earn the win. Pat Kavanagh, Eric Dobson, Jake Taylor and Reilly Gray each recorded two goals in the win. Liam Entenmann recorded eight saves to earn the win in net for the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame’s only loss this season was an 11-10 overtime loss to Georgetown.
The last meeting between these two teams was in the 2023 National Championship game in which Notre Dame won 13-9.
