The Phillies go for their third straight win on Sunday afternoon when they take on the Nationals
The Philadelphia Phillies go for the three-game sweep of the Washington Nationals on Sunday afternoon. The Phillies have won the first two games 4-0 and 5-2 and are looking to get another great pitching performance in the finale. Cristopher Suarez will be the one getting the start for the Phillies on Sunday. Suarez went five innings in his first start against the Cincinnati Reds. He gave up two runs and struck out eight, but the Phillies would go on to lose 6-3 in 10 innings. He pitched well in that game and is looking to duplicate that success on Sunday against the Nationals.

Washington, though, is looking to get to Suarez as it tries to avoid the series sweep and a fourth straight loss.
The Nationals haven’t been swept this season, but they haven’t won a series yet as they have lost two of three to both the Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates.
Sunday they will turn to Mackenzie Gore on the mound as they try and get the win. Gore gave up three runs in five and a third innings against the Pirates on Monday. He gave up five hits while striking out six and walking two.
