    The Philadelphia Phillies will stay on the road for the second game of a three-game series against the San Diego Padres on Saturday night at Petco Park in southern California. The Phillies took game one of the series 9-3 yesterday night. Aaron Nola picked up his fourth win of the season after pitching eight innings with three earned runs on seven hits with 10 strikeouts. Philadelphia was blasting balls out of the park. It started in the first inning with Kyle Schwarber hitting a 379-foot homer. Bryce Harper went 396 feet in the third inning followed by Brandon Marsh hitting the ball 385 feet for his homer. Nick Castellanos joined his teammates in the third inning with a 398-foot home run himself. Marsh and Alec Bohm had the other two RBIs that weren’t home runs. The Padres’ Jake Cronenworth and Graham Pauley scored the three runs for the team.

    Ranger Suarez will take the mound for Philadelphia tonight. The increasingly popular left-hander is undefeated this season at 4-0 with a 1.36 ERA giving up just 18 hits in 33 innings with 32 strikeouts. He pitched 7.0 scoreless innings with five strikeouts in a 7-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds in his last start.

    The former Chicago White Sox, Dylan Cease will start the game on the mound for San Diego. He is 3-1 with his new team this season with a 1.82 ERA and just 11 hits allowed over 29.2 innings with 35 strikeouts. He pitched a 7.0-inning, one-run performance in a 3-1 win against the Colorado Rockies with eight strikeouts in his last outing.
