The red-hot Knicks look to keep pace in the East when they host the Pistons on Monday night.
With the home team vying for seeding in the Eastern Conference playoff picture, the New York Knicks host the Detroit Pistons at Madison Square Garden on Monday night. The Knicks have won five of their last six games to improve to 42-28 as they inch closer to the No. 3 seed in the East. New York currently holds the fourth seed in the playoff race, but is nipping at the heels of the Cavs with the Magic close behind them. The Knicks are 7-3 in their last 10 games and are 23-13 at home. Detroit, on the other hand, has lost six games in a row with the worst record in the NBA at 12-59. Last month, the Knicks held on for a 113-111 victory over the Pistons at MSG.

Most recently, the Knicks got back in the win column with a 105-93 victory over the Nets on Saturday night. Donte DiVincenzo scored a team-high 31 points while Miles McBride added 26 points in the win. DiVincenzo led a 12-0 run with seven-straight points on two layups and a three-pointer to help the Knicks pull away.
As for Detroit, the Pistons dropped their sixth straight game in a 114-101 loss to the Pelicans on Sunday. Chimezie Metu led the way for Detroit with 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Zion Williamson was dominant in a 36-point performance where he missed just one shot from the field.
