Dail Softball Stadium is set to host the exciting weekend matchup between home side NC State and visiting program Pittsburgh on Saturday in college softball regular season action. The Pack will be looking to secure their second series win of the 2024 campaign. Furthermore, a series win would mark the team’s first ACC series win since the Pack swept Boston College in 2023. Finally, it would be NC State’s third series win over the Panthers in program history. This weekend’s series marks the eighth series against Pitt. The two programs split the last 10 meetings, with the Panthers winning the last three.

All three games of the 2023 series were close, with game one going to eight innings. The Pack recorded three home runs in each game of the series, highlighted by former member of the Pack (and Panthers) Katlyn Pavlick who recorded three on the weekend.
Furthermore, the Pack has scored as many as 13 runs and as few as one against Pitt. The Pack has never not scored when playing the Panthers.
