Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat host the Toronto Raptors in NBA action today.
The Miami Heat (44-36) head into today in the Play-In Tournament in the Eastern Conference just like last season, but have the potential to earn a spot in the top six with two wins and a lot of help. That starts with a home game against the Toronto Raptors (25-55) today and ends with another game against Toronto on Sunday to end the regular season. The teams split the first two games this season with Miami winning the first game back in early December and then Toronto winning in a blowout a month later. This is one of the most important games in the Eastern Conference today with Miami in a position to still make it into the top six.

Miami would be locked into a Play-In Tournament game with a loss or an Orlando win. If Miami wins and Orlando loses, the team will have the opportunity to play for a spot in the top six on Sunday against Toronto.
This season Miami has been led by the duo of Butler (21.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game) and Bam Adebayo (19.3 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game). When those two are healthy and on the court, Miami is a threat to make another run this season in the playoffs.
For Toronto, the team has sunk down the standings since the All-Star Break. After a three-game winning streak after the break, Toronto has gone 3-19 overall in the last 22 games falling from a fringe Play-In Tournament contender to the sixth-worst record in the NBA.
