Panthers aim to keep pace in Atlantic Division race as they face off against playoff hopeful Red Wings
With six losses in their last seven games, the Florida Panthers wrap a three-game home stand today against the Detroit Red Wings who sit two points behind Washington for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. The Red Wings have lost all three games on their current five-game road trip and have lost 11 of the last 12 games against the Panthers with their lone win in the last three seasons in this series coming in their last trip to Amerant Bank Arena back in January. Florida has clinched a playoff spot and is five points behind the New York Rangers for home-ice advantage throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs which begin next month.

Panthers center Sam Reinhart ranks second in the league with his team-high 51 goals this season. Reinhart, a first-round pick by Buffalo in the 2014 NHL Draft, has set career highs in goals and points this season and comes into today with 14 points in 13 games this month.
The Red Wings rank ninth in the NHL scoring 3.33 goals per game led by their pair of wingers Lucas Raymond and Alex DeBrincat who each have tallied 24 goals on the season. DeBrincat, in his first season with the Red Wings, is one point away from his third consecutive 60-point season and has five points in his last five games.
The road team has won every game in this series this year with Florida shutting out the Red Wings in both meetings in Detroit.
