The Arlington Renegades will head on the road in the third week of UFL football to take on the Houston Roughnecks. The Renegades are at the bottom of the XFL Conference as the only one of the four teams in that conference without a win. They are 0-3 this season heading into this game. They started the year with a loss to the Birmingham Stallions 27-14 at home before heading on the road to lose by just three points to the St. Louis BattleHawks 27-24. Last week, they lost to the D.C. Defenders 29-28. Luis Perez has led the offense this year under center. He has 737 yards and four touchdowns in three games with a 66% completion percentage. De’Veon Smith leads the ground attack with 103 yards on 30 attempts with one touchdown. Tyler Vaughn has 17 catches for the team with 182 yards and a touchdown.

The Roughnecks are also at the bottom of their conference, the USFL Conference, and also haven’t won a game this season at 0-3 through their first three games. They opened the season with a loss to the Showboats 18-12 before heading on the road in Week 2 and losing to the D.C. Defenders 23-18. Last week, they were beaten by the Michigan Panthers on the road 34-20.
Reid Sinnett leads the passing attack of the team with 418 yards and two touchdowns with a 64.4% completion percentage. Kirk Merritt and Emmanuel Butler have been Sinnett’s favorite targets. Merritt has nine catches for 113 yards while Butler had six catches for 110 yards this season. Neither one has a touchdown.
