After a 2-game road sweep, the Reno Aces open their home schedule on Tuesday when they host the Sacramento River Cats at Greater Nevada Field
The Reno Aces (2-0) return home after sweeping a weather-shortened road series from their in-state rivals, the Las Vegas Aviators, over the weekend. On Tuesday, the Aces host the Sacramento River Cats (2-1) at Greater Nevada Field. Reno, the top minor-league affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, lost top prospect Jordan Lawlar for at least two months after surgery to repair a ruptured ligament in his right thumb. Lawlar, a shortstop, is No. 11 on the MLB Pipeline top-100 list. The River Cats, the Triple-A home of the San Francisco Giants, feature shortstop Marco Luciano (No. 38 on the top 100 and No. 2 in the system). He was 2-for-6 in two games against the Salt Lake Bees over the weekend.
