Michael Wacha and the Kansas City Royals will take the mound against Dean Kremer and the Baltimore Orioles tonight.

The Kansas City Royals will head on the road for the first game of this three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland, tonight. The Royals came out of the first series of the season winning one of two games at home against the Minnesota Twins. They lost the first two games by a run differential of 9-2 scoring just one run in each game with a Maikel Garcia home run in the first game and a MJ Melendez RBI in the second. In the last game of the series, yesterday, they exploded for an 11-run shutout to close out the series. Garcia homered again while Salvador Perez, Bobby Witt Jr., Nelson Velazquez, and Kyle Isbel all joined him with homers. Perez also had four RBIs. The Orioles are staying home after taking on the Los Angeles Angels in the team’s first series. They won two game of three with a 24-7 run differential in the first two games, losing the last game 4-1. Anthony Santander has been dominating. Through three games, he hsa two home runs and seven RBIs while batting .250.

Kansas City will turn to the fourth starter in their rotation to open up this second series of the season. Michael Wacha came over from the San Diego Padres this offseason. In 2023, Wacha was 14-4 with a 3.22 ERA and 124 strikeouts. He has the opportunity to become this struggling franchises’ ace.

On the opposite side, Baltimore is going to put Dean Kremer back on the mound as its fourth starter in the five-man rotation. Last year with Baltimore, Kremer finished 13-5 with a 4.12 ERA and 157, strikeouts tied for No. 42 in the MLB last season, with a 1.31 WHIP.
