How to Watch Dodgers at Blue Jays: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel

Both the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays are coming off opposite sides of sweeps heading into this series opener Friday night.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been a good road team this year and the club is hoping that bodes well when they start this series against the Toronto Blue Jays Friday night. LA is coming off a three-game sweep against the Washington Nationals on the road and they have a 7-3 record away from Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers are going for their fifth win in a row after losing three straight. After dominating the first two games against the Nationals, LA’s finale on Thursday was a nail-biter ending in a 2-1 win to complete the sweep. Yoshinobu Yamamoto had a great game going six shutout innings while only giving up four hits and striking out seven. The biggest highlight though might have been Yamamoto making a remarkable reflexive catch on a line right back to the pitcher’s mound. Teoscar Hernandez hit a solo shot in the first and the Nationals didn’t score until the ninth inning. LA is the -125 favorite on the road tonight and will be starting righty Gavin Stone (1-1, 6.00 ERA) in the opener.

The Blue Jays meanwhile are coming off the wrong end of a sweep losing three in a row to the Kansas City Royals. Toronto lost in the finale 2-1 to drop the team back down to .500. Salvador Perez hit a two-run homer for KC in the first inning that the Blue Jays didn’t have much of a chance to come back from since the game was called in the fifth inning because of a 3.5-hour rain delay. Toronto will try to bounce back by getting home and starting Chris Bassitt who is 2-3 with a 3.90 ERA to start the season.
