How to Watch Second Round, Game 1, Bruins at Panthers: Stream NHL Playoffs Live, TV Channel

The Boston Bruins, coming off a dramatic Game 7 overtime win, head to Amerant Bank Arena to open a 2nd-round series with the Florida Panthers

The Atlantic Division champion Florida Panthers (52-24-6, 110 points) return to the ice for the first time in a week when they host the Atlantic’s second-place club, the Boston Bruins (47-20-15, 109 points) in Game 1 of their second-round series on Monday night at Amerant Bank Arena in the Miami suburb of Sunrise. The series brings the Panthers and Bruins back together a little more than a year after Florida eliminated Boston, coming off the best regular-season in NHL history, in overtime of Game 7 in last year’s first round en route to the Stanley Cup Finals. The Panthers eliminated the wild-card Tampa Bay Lightning in five games while the Bruins scored a Game 7 overtime win of their own to oust the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

David Pastrňák scored 1:54 into overtime on Saturday night to lift Boston past the Maple Leafs in Game 7 of its first-round series. Jeremy Swayman worked six of the seven games in goal, finishing the series with a .950 save percentage and a 1.49 goals-against average. Notorious pest Brad Marchand led the Bruins with eight points, with his three goals matched by Jake DeBrusk, Pastrňák and Trent Frederic.

Florida put away the Lightning with a 6-1 home-ice victory on April 29. Sergei Bobrovsky spent the entire series in net, notching an .896 save percentage and 2.78 GAA as the Panthers pumped in 20 goals in the five-game series. Carter Verhaeghe and Matthew Tkachuk each posted nine points in the short series, with Verhaeghe lighting the lamp five times.

The Bruins were the only Eastern Conference team to sweep Florida during the regular season, winning all for meetings — two in overtime. Three of the four games were decided by a single goal. Meanwhile, teams coming off a Game 7 OT victory are 16-5 in the next series since 2003.
