South Carolina looks to complete a sweep of free-falling No. 24 Florida, losers of 6 in a row, on Sunday in Gainesville

South Carolina (25-10) and No. 24 Florida (17-17) represent clubs moving in opposite directions as they close a three-game series on Sunday at Contron Family Ballpark in Gainesville, Florida. The Gamecocks have already clinched the series victory and have won four straight to improve to 8-6, tied for third in the Southeastern Conference’s East Division. The Gators, conversely, take a six-game losing streak into Sunday’s game and at 6-8 are sixth in the SEC East. South Carolina played in a super regional last year after missing the NCAA tournament in 2022, while Florida’s run of 15 straight NCAA appearances includes a runner-up finish at last year’s College World Series.
