Regular season play will conclude for on Sunday for Texas A&M and Florida as the teams meet in their SEC series final.
On Sunday afternoon, No. 12 Texas A&M will conclude its road trip in Gainesville with the series finale game against No. 16 Florida at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. The Aggies come into Sunday’s game with an overall record of 39-11 and a conference record of 15-8 which puts them in third place in the SEC standings. The team has dropped two games in a row to Florida with both being decided by just one run. Yesterday’s game went to the eighth inning and resulted in a tough 9-8 loss for Texas A&M. Rylen Wiggins and Trinity Cannon each hit home runs to combine for three RBI, but the offense came up short despite its 10 collective hits in the game. Emiley Kennedy finished the game in the circle for the Aggies and was pegged with the loss, giving up the game-winning run in 1.1 innings of work.

The Gators have now won four games in a row and are in second place in the SEC standings with a conference record of 16-7 and an overall record of 42-12. Ava Brown picked up her 15th win of the season last night as she pitched a complete game and struck out five batters. Offensively, Korbe Otis came up big for Florida, going 4-for-5 with a team-high five RBI from an RBI double in the first and a grand slam in the second. Skylar Wallace, Jocelyn Erickson, Reagan Walsh and Ava Brown each finished with one RBI, as well, to spread out the scoring and show the depth the team has as it prepares for postseason play.
