No. 3 Texas A&M continues to try and climb up the SEC standings as the Aggies visit Ole Miss Friday night to kick off a three-game series.
On Friday night, No. 3 Texas A&M (41-8, 16-8 SEC) returns to the field to begin a three-game series with Ole Miss (25-23, 9-15 SEC) at Swayze Field in Oxford. For the Aggies, this series represents their second to last chance to make a push for the top in the SEC West and overall SEC standings. With one conference weekend remaining after this one before the SEC Tournament, the Aggies are one game behind No. 5 Arkansas (who they play next week) for first place in the SEC West, and two games behind No. 4 Kentucky for the top spot in the conference overall.

Texas A&M comes into this series on a two-game winning streak. Last weekend the Aggies won their final game of a three-game series against LSU by a score of 14-4, then on Tuesday beat in-state foe Rice 16-3 in a seven-inning mercy rule game.
Ole Miss played Auburn over the weekend, and took the first two games of a three-game series. However, they’ve since lost two in a row – dropping the final game of that series and then a mid-week matchup against Murray State on Wednesday. They lost that game 12-9 in 15 innings.
