Ohio State gets back on the field on Saturday for the annual spring game in Columbus.
On Saturday afternoon, the Ohio State Buckeyes return to The Horseshoe at Ohio Stadium for their 2024 Spring Game. The Buckeyes are trying to build on a season that saw them go undefeated into the regular season finale against Michigan, before dropping that game and then falling in the Cotton Bowl a few weeks later. This year, the Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day seemed to make a point of retooling the offensive structure. Brian Hartline is now the co-offensive coordinator, joined by former UCLA head coach Chip Kelly (Bill O’Brien was originally hired for the co-OC role before taking the head coaching job at Boston College).

The changes go beyond the coaching staff too. Last year’s starter Kyle McCord left for Syracuse in the portal after a disappointing year. Former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard transferred in but faces competition for the job. That includes Alabama transfer Julian Sayin, as well as returning junior Devin Brown, who started last year’s bowl game.
Ohio State’s running game also got a boost in the portal. Quinshon Judkins transfered in from Ole Miss, joining TreVeyon Henderson who decided to return instead of entering the NFL Draft.
