The Pittsburgh Pirates begin a quick two-game series with the Detroit Tigers on Monday night at home. The Pirates come into Monday on a two-game winning streak and an NL Central-best 8-2 on the season. They opened the season with five straight wins and have continued to play well. Over the weekend they picked up a big series win over the Baltimore Orioles. Monday they will look to stay hot when they send Mitch Keller to the mound. Keller comes into the start 0-1 with a 6.55 ERA in two starts. He has given up four runs in each of his starts and the Pirates are 1-1 when he takes the mound.

The Tigers struggled at the plate in the losses as they scored just one total run in the last two games. They managed just 12 hits in the losses and it cost them the series.
