The NASCAR Cup Series closes out the weekend with the Toyota Owners 400 today.
The seventh race of the season in the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Richmond, Virginia for the Toyota Owners 400 today. The Richmond Raceway plays host to the seventh race of the season for the first of two races in a row in Virginia and the first of two races on this track this season. Kyle Larson will lead the cars out of the starting grid after winning his first pole of the season. Last week William Byron was the first driver this season to win from the pole for his second win of the season. Larson will try for his second win of the season as well today from the pole at the Toyota Owners 400.

This race was also on the calendar as the seventh race of the season where Larson won. The track also hosted the 22nd race of the season where Chris Buescher came out with a win on this track.
Through six races this season Larson has one win and another top-five finish. In the other four races he finished 11th, 14th, 17th and 32nd to put him in fifth place in the points standings. Buescher is in 12th place in points this season with four finishes in the top nine through six races. Those two will look to take their previous success on this track and parlay that into a win here today.
The rest of the top five in points through six races this season has Martin Truex Jr. (220 points) at the top followed by Ty Gibbs (215 points), Ryan Blaney (211 points), Denny Hamlin (206 points) with Larson (205 points) in fifth place.
