They were able to get the best of the Angels in the first game 5-3 with Bailey Ober picking up the win pitching a two-run, 7.1-inning performance with eight strikeouts. Carlos Santana was the only player to hit a home run with two RBIs. Willi Castro had a great night as well batting 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Last night, the team just exploded beating LA 16-5. Chris Paddack won his second game of the year allowing four runs in 5.0 innings with two strikeouts. Only three players in the starting lineup left that game without an RBI. Ryan Jeffers, Max Kepler, and Santana all homered in that outing with Santana having four RBIs. Edouard Julien didn’t homer but still had three RBIs. Los Angeles will look to avoid the sweep today.

Pablo Lopez will get the start for the visiting team, Minnesota, today. The right-hander is 1-2 this season with a 4.39 ERA and 29 strikeouts over 26.2 total innings. He lasted 4.0 innings in a 6-5 win over the Chicago White Sox in his last outing. He allowed three of the five earned runs on four hits with six strikeouts.
Los Angeles will start this series finale with Reid Detmers on the mound. The left-hander is 3-1 in his 2024 campaign with a 2.12 ERA and 34 strikeouts over 29.2 innings. He had his worst start of the season in his last outing allowing four earned runs on six hits in 7.0 innings with four strikeouts. He had previously allowed just two earned runs in his first three starts.
